Community Garden Grant

During late June, Cape Fear Christian Academy was notified that we were the recipient of a grant for a community garden from Wal-Mart.

The community garden project is a way for Cape Fear Christian Academy to engage students by learning to be good stewards of the earth and a way for Cape Fear Christian Academy students to give back to the surrounding communities.

The elementary students, botany students, and after-school students will be the primary care givers of this community garden; however, we welcome any student, parent, or guardian as a volunteer care-giver of this community garden.

If you have treated timber, soil, ground cover, tools, or other materials to donate to this community garden, please contact Katherine Spradley.

A special thank you to the Williams family for making us aware of this grant opportunity.
