Academic Opportunities

In general, a student given the opportunity to attend a private school will most likely reach a higher level of academic achievement. CFCA challenges students with an academically rigorous curriculum and continues to see students achieve above-average scores in standardized test situations.

Sense of Community

The people of CFCA including students, teachers, staff, and faculty build relationships that lead to a deeper sense of community. Your family becomes part of a network of families with the same goals and hopes for your children. Through small to mid-size classes, our teachers are able to build closer relationships with their students and in turn foster connections that lead to success in the classroom. In addition, CFCA is fortunate to have parental involvement on many levels. Our parents stay involved in the school through teacher conferences, social events, and volunteer opportunities. With parental involvement and developed connections with teachers, students graduate CFCA with a rounded and healthy sense of community.

Leadership

At CFCA, our mission states that we prepare leaders by modeling and providing opportunities for our future leaders to learn how to become a leader that will affect positive change in whatever community they are in. CFCA’s faculty and staff work to create future leaders by putting into practice four pillars: leadership starts early, leadership is learned, leadership takes practice, and community knowledge comes before leadership. Starting at the preschool level, students are given opportunities to help lead their peers in activities. Leadership is modeled and learned through the examples provided by teachers in the classroom. Students are put in small groups for assignments, discussions, and projects that will foster leadership skills in a daily practical manner. Finally, the sense of community and family that comes with attendance at CFCA, gives students a buy-in and wealth of knowledge for their school. Knowing the likes, wanted, and needs of a community help future leaders to understand how best to better their community. As students transition from middle to upper school, they are required to complete a capstone project that will offer a solution to a real-world issue. This multi-year requirement is mentored through the upper-school elective courses that include computers and technology, Bible, and other pertinent courses. Through directed individual studies, our seniors complete their capstone course with hands-on experience in leadership that builds on integrity, accountability, learning, sharing, and strategic thinking.
